Music
Music plays an integral part in our worship of God in that it allows us to express joy, sadness, wonder, love and adoration from the heart, to God in a way that spoken words often fail to do. At St Mary’s, we are able to celebrate the diversity of musical styles at two of our regular Sunday services which are at 9am and 10.30am.
Throughout the year, we often bring these groups together for joint celebrations and both Choir and Music group welcome new members to join them at any time.
9am Sunday Service Music
10.30am Sunday Service Music
10.30am services have a more contemporary feel: we usually use music sourced from the ‘Songs of Fellowship’ books and our Music Group comprises singers with instrumentalists on guitars, keyboards, drums, flute, violin, viola and saxophone.
The Music Group practices on Tuesday nights from 7.45pm in the Church.

Bell Ringing
Bell ringing reminds people of the presence of the Church and its worshipping community. St Mary’s has a peal of eight bells which are rung before either the 9am or 10.30am morning services and for occasions such as weddings.
Bell ringing is a great hobby for people of all ages, and provides many opportunities for anyone aged 12+ to meet new people. We practice on Wednesday nights 7.30pm – 9pm.
